When planning a trip to Disney it is important to always check the refurbishment lists. We have compiled a list of the current refurbishments and work being done on the resorts. Not all the attractions have closed due to refurbishment and those that have closed due to COVID-19 to protect the health and safety of the park guests are listed separately.

This doesn’t include the many restaurants, shops and dining experiences that remain closed.
There is still a phased reopening of many of the resorts going on. Only about half of the resorts are open and because of this many of the resorts are taking advantage of these closures to do updates.
All Star Resorts – All three resorts have been going through a huge upgrade and room redesigns
All Star Movies completed reopening summer 2021
All Star Sports work yet to begin unlikely to finish before 2020
All Star Music work currently in progress reopening 2021
Art of Animation
Big blue pool January 11, 2021-april 2021
Fort Wilderness Campground
There are still walls around the beach part of the resort that led to former River Country Park. Previously rumored to be the site of Reflections – A Disney Lakeside Lodge DVC project. Disney has not had crews on site for months and they have quietly removed references to the project online.

Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
There is extensive refurbishment work at the Great Ceremonial House being done that has caused the suspension of monorail service and delayed the reopening of the hotel side of the property until summer 2021. Refurbishments include soft goods room refurbishments that include a move to a Pacific Ocean inspired color palette as well as details, patterns and textures from Moana. DC Villas at the Polynesian have remained open.
Port Orleans Riverside
This resort is also doing a soft goods refurbishment to include the addition of Princess and the Frog thematic elements and other functional design changes. The Royal Rooms were scheduled to be renovated but there are no dates yet for those renovations. Still no reopening dates for this resort or Port Orleans French Quarters.
Saratoga Springs
This resort has been receiving a top to bottom refurbishment of the exterior and interior. This refurbishment is scheduled to last through the summer of 2021.
Wilderness Lodge
Top to bottom room redesigns for the hotel side of wilderness lodge are currently taking place. There is no reopening date for hotel side but there is an estimated spring 2021 reopening.
