There is never a bad time to book a vacation to Disney but there are certain times of the year where the crowds are lower and you might find a more magical price. While Disney doesn’t necessarily have an off season we can track the crowd calendars from years past. If you want to keep your trip under budget let’s take a look at some of the less expensive times with the lowest crowds to visit Disney World.

6. AUGUST 2019
The weather may be hot but the rates are even hotter! The second half of August is a very hot month to visit Disney but it also means it is a very low crowd and cost month. We will warn you that with this year’s opening of Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge, the crowds will descend on Disney in a way we can’t even imagine! So our advice to you is to get out of there by August 29th if you want to avoid crowds and don’t have interest in the madness of opening day!
5. SEPTEMBER 2019
Most days in September you will find lower crowds and often those lower magical prices. Keep a watch for occasional free dining offered during this time. Over the years September has been the very best month of the year to visit Disney World. Kids have just returned to school and families aren’t thinking of their vacations yet. September is becoming more popular because of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party that happens on select days in September. This month can also tend to be a rainier season in Florida but that’s what those ponchos are for right?!

4. NOVEMBER 2019
The first week of November has much better weather and still has more manageable crowd sizes. The room rates are decent. They aren’t the lowest but they aren’t as high as they will climb in the coming weeks during holiday season. The last week in November some will say is also one of the best weeks. Not to mention the park will be in full Christmas theming. Just make sure to avoid Thanksgiving if it falls within this week. Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party will also occur on select nights in November and is an event you won’t want to miss.

3. DECEMBER 2019
Not one you might think of but the first week of December is probably your last chance of the year that you will see a discounted room rate for the rest of the year. Prices and crowd levels will only increase after this week. Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party on select nights is the perfect addition to your trip to get you in the Christmas spirit before you head home.
2. JANUARY 2020
The best times to visit Disney World in January are January 6-9, January 13-16 and January 27-January 31. These dates will avoid a larger crowd during the New Year’s celebrations and the crowds that come to run the Walt Disney Marathon and Run Disney Races in January. January can have some of the lowest crowd levels but you also may experience some attractions and water parks being shut down. This is typically the time of the year that Disney performs their schedule of refurbishments. The parks may also reduce park hours but with lower crowd levels you won’t need that extra time to wait in lines!
1. FEBRUARY 2020
If you want to look at February for travel dates look to book in the date range of February 1-6 or February 16-29. The weather is great and the prices and crowds you can expect to be lower. Just avoid traveling during Valentine’s Day and Princess Marathon weekend if you want to avoid a crowd full of love and runners!
