UPDATE: 9 meet and greet locations throughout Disney World will be switching over to this new format. Lots of changes on the horizon for WDW PhotoPass.
Rumors are swirling that PhotoPass photographers will be replaced with an automated PhotoPass system that will capture the character meet and greet experience. Currently the Tinkerbell meet and greet in Magic Kingdom is the only location that will start this new experience but if things go as expected, it looks like there are more of these types of interactions on the horizon for Walt Disney World, and possibly even Disneyland. It is expected that November 26th will be the first date for this new experience so Thanksgiving travelers will be in for a surprise next week when they meet Tinkerbell.
Very similar to rides, a kiosk will capture the experience, and then guests will see the pictures, and scan their band to add it to their MyDisneyExperience for download.
