Founders Dana and Melanie Harvey proudly unveiled their newest line of STAR WARS bags at a packed California event on Saturday, May 4. Fans of the film franchise and bag company flocked to Santa Ana to celebrate May the Fourth with themed snacks, drinks, and a photo opportunity with the 501st Legion.
You will find a lot of love and detail in this new collection. Each item features creative charms and a special inside liner, and fans of lightsabers will be cut down with excitement for a one-of- kind zipper detail found in two of the releasing items.
Bring home your favorite characters in this new release. Disney-bounding darlings include the Chewbacca streamline messenger, C3P0 hip pack, R2D2 park hopper, and Darth Vader convertible crossbody. For a lesser “bounding” look, there is a line of Star Wars comic strip items—a medium streamline tote, classic wallet, billfold wallet, and Harveys fans’ favorite accessory—the click-and-go keychain.
The comic book print features colorful panels of Luke, Leia, Han, Obi-Wan, and even the loveable Jawas. The panels were designed with inspiration from the Lucasfilm archive, which the Harvey team visited in 2018 as the planning stages began for the collaboration.
Harveys will bring great balance to your excitement for Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge, opening at Disneyland on May 31 and Walt Disney World on August 29.
The Harveys STAR WARS bag collection releases online on Monday, May 6 at 8am Pacific. Pieces range in price from $28 to $198. Visit ShopHarveys.com to order. Be aware, this line will sell out as fast as the Millennium Falcon!
There is no information regarding a possible Disney Parks-exclusive release at this time, but follow Harveys and The Pixie Dust Life on Facebook and Instagram for all updates.
HARVEYS is a group of happy people who love discovering, designing, and making handbags and lifestyle goods in sunny Southern California.
It all started in a tiny garage with husband and wife, Dana and Melanie Harvey. While restoring their classic car, Dana came up with the idea to make Melanie a matching handbag with the leftover seatbelts. Everyone loved hers so much they decided to make more for you.
