Well, it happened, even a little later than expected, but it happened. Disneyland price increases went into effect today with prices increasing by over 10% on average. If you remember last years staggering increase of over 20% making it the largest price increase in it’s history, this isn’t quite as bad. Unfortunately, quite as bad, is still more then we would have spent yesterday on tickets.
Along with this new increase comes a new multi-tiered option. Previously Disneyland just had 3 options Value, Regular, and Peak. Now with this new update you will find a Tiered structure with 5 tiers. Tier 5 being the most popular and busy times found on holidays like Christmas and 4th of July.
2020 ticket prices as they stand today:
Single & Multiple Day Ticket Options:
|1 Day – 1 Park||$104, 129, 149 (Value, Regular, Peak)||$104, 114, 124, 139, 154 (Tiers 1 – 5)|
|1 Day – Park Hopper||$154, 179, 199 (Value, Regular, Peak)||$159, 169, 179, 194, 209 (Tiers 1 – 5)|
|2 Day with Park Hopper||$280||$290|
|3 Day with Park Hopper||$355||$365|
|4 Day with Park Hopper||$380||$395|
|5 Day with Park Hopper||$395||$415|
Multi Day tickets are not the only option that will be increasing. There was also an increase on Annual Passes with the Premiere option seeing a $100 increase for 2020.
The last of the increases for Disneyland Resort comes with a price increase on the popular MaxPass option, which is now a staggering $20 per-person/per-day. This option allowed guests to download all pictures from the parks for free, and get mobile FastPasses throughout the parks vs the paper ticketing system that Disneyland currently has in place. The increase from $15 per-person/per-day makes this the largest price increase of over 30% from 2019 prices!!!
What do you think of the newest increase? Sounds fair, or has Disneyland become too expensive?
